Food packages - Stichting Vluchteling (SV)

On February 1, the international charity foundation SaveUA and the public union Ukrainian Agri Council ("UAC") started cooperation with Dutch partners Stichting Vluchteling (SV).

Stichting Vluchteling (SV) is an emergency relief foundation that has been helping refugees and displaced persons around the world since 1976. In emergency situations, the Foundation provides emergency life-saving assistance such as medical care, shelter, food and clean drinking water. But it also helps during long-term humanitarian crises, for example, with education and psychosocial support to help people process traumatic experiences.

Stichting Vluchteling (SV) is an impartial and independent organization that provides assistance based on its own assessment of a person's needs and available resources. The Refugee Fund works in partnership with a number of carefully selected international and local implementing organizations.

The project to help Ukraine is part of the National Fundraising Campaign for Ukraine in the Netherlands in 2022, organized by Samenwerkende Hulporganisaties (SHO).

Project implementation period with SaveUA: February-March 2023

With the support of Stichting Vluchteling (SV), our team distributed 15,000 food parcels and provided 45,000 internally displaced persons and residents of frontline areas with food in Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Dnipro regions.

It is worth noting that the humanitarian food sets consist of products from national producers. In this way, we support Ukrainian farmers and save jobs in this extremely difficult period.

Another feature of our cooperation with Stichting Vluchteling (SV) is that the entire production process is organized in Ukraine. This means that we are able to involve internally displaced persons who have left their homes and are temporarily staying in Uman in the packaging process, providing them with jobs.

We invite donors to support Ukrainians in need of permanent assistance. Anyone can join the fundraising by following this link: https://saveua.in.ua/en/payment

In total, during the first year of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the SaveUA team has fed more than 1,950,000 Ukrainians and provided more than 8,000 tons of humanitarian aid.

We continue to help.
