Results of the SAVE UA Foundation for 2022

A very difficult year for all of us—Ukrainians—is coming to an end. Each family has suffered terrible losses due to the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia, and the whole world has realized how important our country is, in particular, for the global food sector.

The SAVE UA team, which consists of 80% of internally displaced persons, has been helping to restore and preserve farms in all territories controlled by Ukraine since the first day of the war because our farmers are a guarantee of national and global food security. At the same time, we constantly provide vital products to Ukrainians suffered from the war.

For the 10 months of the war, the SAVE UA team, the Ukrainian Agri Council (UAC), the Association of Milk Producers and the Association of Pig Breeders of Ukraine, supported by partners have done:

  • we fed 1 900 000 Ukrainians,
  • we provided 8,000 tons of essential goods (food, personal hygiene products, etc.),
  • we ensured 64 medical institutions with necessary medicines and equipment,
  • we also provided 9000 filters for water purification.

We paid special attention to the education of children who are particularly suffering from the war in Ukraine, in particular, internally displaced persons. We are proud of the initiative of our parent organizations—the Ukrainian Agrarian Lyceum (UAL) and the Ukrainian Children's Academy (UCA)—to provide scholarships for education in the institutions. Scholarships were awarded to 34 students, including 24 students among 10–11 grades (UAL), 6 students among 5–9 grades of basic education (UCA), and 4 students from 1 to 4 grades (UCA).

By combining efforts, the team of the SAVE UA Foundation, the Ukrainian Agri Council, the Association of Milk Producers, and the Association of Pig Breeders of Ukraine have already helped more than 200 farms, and continue to support the agricultural sector of Ukraine every day.

We provided Ukrainian farmers with seed materials (vegetable seeds)—2 106.78 kg, generators—26 units, Starlink terminals—28 units, fuel storage tanks—5 units, heating briquettes—22 tons, agricultural sleeves—4 thousand.

The whole world admires the bravery of Ukrainians defending their home, our unity and support for each other. And we sincerely thank all our partners and colleagues in Ukraine and abroad for their incredible support!

We thank the members of the Ukrainian Agri Council, the Association of Milk Producers and personally Kees Huizinga.
