The project to support dairy farms continues—36 enterprises have already received generators with a capacity of 80 or 100 kW.
Thanks to our regular partners — José Andrés and his Longer Tables Fund, with the assistance of the Ukrainian Agri Council and the Association of Milk Producers, we have already provided 36 generators to enterprises located in frontline areas and regions affected by enemy attacks on infrastructure and facing electricity supply problems.
A dairy farm is a complex system where everything is interconnected. Without electricity, it not only loses efficiency — it stops working. Therefore, generators for farmers, especially during wartime, are not an option but a necessity.
"If there is no electricity, the milking machines don't work. Without electricity, milk cannot be cooled. It must be stored at a strict temperature, otherwise it will be lost. There is no water supply, and the ventilation and feeding systems don't work. Just imagine a farm with several hundred animals without access to water or the ability to milk them. This is a huge loss for the farm," says an aid recipient from the Kharkiv region.
In total, during the spring and summer of 2025, 60 diesel generators will be delivered to Ukraine and provided to farmers to support dairy farms in the regions most affected by the war and power outages.
We are preparing to receive the next batch of generators.
We thank our partners for their support in these difficult times for those who feed Ukraine!
