The State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection has received about 50 pieces of laboratory equipment from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) with the assistance of the Аssociation of Ukrainian Pig Breeders and the SaveUA team.
The laboratory equipment worth almost $350 thousand is intended to preserve the health, maintain production and ensure the welfare of animals in Ukraine. The equipment was collected from laboratories across the United States.
According to Oksana Yurchenko, the head of the Аssociation of Ukrainian Pig Breeders, the parent organization of our charity foundation, ensuring animal health control is a priority in both peacetime and war, so improving the technical base of veterinary laboratories is of great importance for our country.
We are grateful to the USDA for the work done, which will improve the ability to quickly and efficiently diagnose diseases, train staff and conduct research in the field of animal health in Ukraine.
