In July, our charity foundation Save Ukraine launched a new joint project with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
Within the framework of this project, 700 households received humanitarian aid in the form of daily chickens and feed! Each household received 30 chickens and 25 kg of starter feed to feed them.
In addition, all registered households will subsequently receive cash assistance via Western Union in the amount of $180 to purchase additional feed to feed the chickens to the optimal age.
So far, residents of Okhtyrka community, Sumy region and Chernihiv region have received chickens and feed.
Beneficiaries who received assistance under the project: Rural farming households affected by the conflict and having no other permanent source of income to achieve a minimum standard of living; rural farming households with 3+ children under 18; rural households with pregnant and/or nursing mothers and children under one year of age; rural households providing food to collective centers for IDPs or hosting IDPs; rural households with elderly people (>65 years old); etc.
We are grateful to our partners for supporting food security in Ukraine and continue to work to provide all the necessary supplies to Ukrainians who need help the most.
