The team of the SaveUA Foundation has launched a fundraiser to raise money for pickup trucks for the engineering and sapper groups of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine to clear agricultural land in the de-occupied territories.
About 174,000 square kilometers, or one-third of the total area of the country, are currently unsuitable for agricultural work because they are mined, contaminated with explosives, or are subject to military operations. Hundreds of agricultural enterprises in the de-occupied territories need assistance in clearing their fields of mines to be able to sow, harvest and support the country's economy.
More than 400,000 hectares of agricultural land are contaminated with enemy shells and mines. Agricultural producers are forced to skip the sowing season, communities lose jobs, and consumers feel the difference in the cost of food.

"To speed up the process of humanitarian demining of fields and agricultural enterprises, the engineering and demining teams of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine involved in these processes must be provided not only with special equipment but also with pickup trucks. That is why our team is joining this area of work and appeals to all those who care to help. For sappers, mobility is an opportunity to respond to challenges in a timely manner, to liberate Ukrainian land from enemy shells more effectively and to save their own lives. We have named this project Fields of Hope because returning to work in Ukrainian fields and allowing agricultural producers to sow, harvest and continue to support national and global food security is a hope for Ukraine's victory," comments Andriy Dykun, founder of the SaveUA charity foundation and the Ukrainian Agri Council.
Since the launch of SaveUA in February 2022, one of the team's missions has been to support national food security, which means helping agricultural producers survive a full-scale invasion, preserve their farms and equipment to continue feeding Ukrainian communities and preserve Ukrainian villages.
Currently, more than 260 pickup trucks are needed to support the engineer teams.

In addition, instead of purchasing funds, you can provide the necessary vehicles, as the main goal is to equip the engineer groups with the necessary number of pickup trucks to clear the territories.
To discuss this issue, please contact us at: pr@saveua.in.ua
The project will continue until the fundraising for the purchase of the required number of vehicles is completed. We will report on the strengthening of each engineer group on the website and social media pages of the foundation.
