An extremely difficult year for all Ukrainians is coming to an end. Every family has experienced painful losses due to Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, and the whole world has realized how important our country is, in particular, for the global food sector.
From the first day of the war, the SaveUA team, 80% of whom are internally displaced persons, has been helping to restore and preserve farms in all Ukrainian-controlled territories, because our farmers are the guarantee of national and global food security. At the same time, we are constantly providing Ukrainians affected by the war with essential food products.
During 10 months of war, the SaveUA team, the Ukrainian Agri Council, the Association of Milk Producers, and the Аssociation of Ukrainian Pig Breeders, with the support of partners:
We paid special attention to the education of children who suffer particularly from the ongoing military actions in Ukraine, in particular, internally displaced persons. We are proud of the initiative of our parent organizations – the Ukrainian Agrarian Lyceum (UAL) and the Ukrainian Children's Academy (UDA) – to provide scholarships for education at these institutions. Scholarships were awarded to 34 students, including: 24 students in grades 10-11 (UAL), 6 students in grades 5-9 of basic education (UCA), and 4 students in grades 1-4 (UCA).
By joining forces, the SaveUA Foundation team, UAC, the Association of Milk Producers, and the Association of Pig Farmers of Ukraine have already helped more than 200 farms and continue to support Ukraine's agricultural sector on a daily basis.
