For the team of our foundation, medical support for hospitals and assistance to doctors has been one of the priority areas of assistance since the first days of our work. We wish the expensive medical equipment we have purchased and distributed with the help of our international partners to help doctors save as many patients as possible.
During the war, thanks to Dawn Inc, Nova Ukraine, the Ukrainian Foundation and CardioStar International, 70 hospitals in nine regions received medical equipment worth $3 million.
With the support of our partners, the foundation's team sent 91,167 units of vital medicines and medical supplies for various purposes to five hospitals in Khmelnytsky region, for residents of the region and for internally displaced persons, which is more than 36 thousand people.
Two electrosurgical generators and an operating lamp for a surgeon, which will help reduce the time of surgery and avoid significant blood loss, were delivered to the Sinelnyk Central City Hospital in Dnipropetrovs'k region.
We also delivered a batch of medical supplies to the Kherson Oncology Center. It includes 15,657 units of medical devices and essential medicines. The medical facility has been operating during all the months of occupation, and doctors have been saving lives despite the intimidation of racists and shelling. The occupiers took away almost all the equipment and medicines. To help the doctors continue to save lives of Kherson residents, our team sent a medical humanitarian aid.
We handed over an ultrasound machine to the Kherson City Clinical Hospital named after Karabelesh. The doctors of this institution were left without medical equipment due to the occupiers and could not perform ultrasound examination of the heart (echocardiography). The device donated by our foundation detects cardiac problems at an early stage.
102 units of medical kits for surgeries were transferred to the neurosurgical department of the Uman Central City Hospital. Also, 664 units of other necessary medical equipment: medical clothing, intubation tubes, disinfectants, medical gloves, venous catheters, and resuscitation equipment. Separately, the surgical department of the Uman Central City Hospital received 100 kg of surgical kits, which are much needed by doctors.
15,500 units of medicines were delivered to six hospitals in Odesa, Cherkasy, Khmelnytsky and Ternopil regions.
Our team also provided separate assistance in providing tactical medicine with the support of Ukrainian volunteer Yulia Brockford and the DAWN Inc. organization. The necessary tactical medicine will save the lives of our defenders.
In particular, we have delivered laryngeal masks that help maintain breathing when a person has a neck or head injury, first aid kits, bandages, knee pads, weight bearing vests, surgical sutures and plasters, medicines - the most necessary things for those who defend our country.
Yulia Brockford, a Ukrainian by birth, has been living in the United States for 30 years, but as a true patriot, she has been helping Ukrainians since the first days of the war. In cooperation with our charitable foundation, she has sent more than one batch of medical aid to Ukraine for the military and civilians.
We are thankful to Dawn Inc, Nova Ukraine, Ukrainian Foundation and CardioStar International for supporting the medics, the affected population and faith in Ukraine!
