SUPPORT UKRAINIAN FARMERS

The SaveUA Charity Foundation, the Ukrainian Agri Council, the Association of Milk Producers, and The Association of Ukrainian Pig Breeders are appealing to international partners for support for affected enterprises in frontline and de-occupied territories.

The Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Poltava, Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kyiv regions are suffering from the targeted destruction of agricultural enterprises by enemy attacks with Shahed drones and missiles.

Since February 2022, Ukrainian farmers have lost thousands of livestock. Agricultural equipment and grain storage facilities have been partially or completely destroyed. As of May 2025, 139,000 km² (23%) of Ukraine's territory remains potentially mined. Most of this territory is agricultural land.

Farmers need help to rebuild their farms to ensure national food security and continue to support global food security.

Here are just a few of the hundreds of farms that need help to rebuild.

The purpose of the fundraiser is to provide farmers with everything they need to restore their farms: medicines for livestock, milking equipment, agricultural machinery, 80 and 100 kW generators, building materials, and seeds.

“80 billion dollars is the total loss to the Ukrainian agricultural sector from February 2022 to May 2025. Of this, 11.2 billion dollars is direct damage: destroyed crops, agricultural equipment, storage facilities, milking parlors, and grain storage facilities.

The Ukrainian dairy industry has lost more than 250,000 cows, of which more than 50,000 were kept on industrial dairy farms. More than 100 dairy farms have been destroyed. The destruction of farms by enemy shelling continues. In April 2025 alone, two farms were destroyed. Their losses amount to more than €4 million.

The enemy is mercilessly destroying Ukraine's energy infrastructure. Power outages last from several hours to several days. This threatens Ukraine's food security. For dairy farms, even 1-2 hours of power outages are critical, as they lead to the loss of at least 1 liter of daily milk yield, and it takes months to restore productivity to previous levels”.
Andriy Dykun,

founder of the SaveUA charity foundation, president of the Association of Milk Producers (AMP), chairman of the Ukrainian Agri Council (UAC)

On the initiative of the Ukrainian Agri Council and with the support from the USAID Agriculture Growing Rural Opportunities Activity in Ukraine (AGRO), we have created an interactive map of destruction in the agricultural sector. This is an evidence-based database that confirms the crimes committed by the Russian Federation against Ukraine's agricultural sector.

The map displays information about damaged and destroyed agricultural objects, including land plots, reclamation objects, crops, etc.
